Can Dsl internet slow down if you download too many programs onto your pc? Thanks. Also, what programs can I download to eliminate junk on my computer and all of that. Thanks.

Reason I'm asking is that he's brought up some websites I visited without having mentioned said sites to him previously. If he's aware of those, then God only knows where else I've been. I use Privacy Guardian once a day to wipe my history, but I'm not sure if that 's enough. I want to know if there's some other program he's using to track my history and how can I go about disabling it or tricking it. I know this is stupid, but being 26 years old, I don't think my internet use is any of his business. I don't care where he goes and the same should apply to me. Any ideas?

I have used Azureus for a while now to download stuff (legitimate public domain stuff I might add.) Now I am at university there appears to be something blocking bittorrent use accross the network.

Whenever I try to dowload a torrent connections to peers always fail at the "Waiting for handshake" stage. I have tried dowloading better seeded torrents but it makes no difference. I have also tried changing the port bittorrent uses to see if that makes a difference, but that doesn't work either.

Any ideas how to get my downloads working? I know information about the unviersity's network would be helpful but unfortunately I have none!

found this advice that said if you cut and paste this into the Youtube search box you will be able to access any account. Would I be commiting an offense if I tried that or would I just be testing Youtube security???

Microsoft is currently transfering Office Live Beta to the new release. For that reason I cannot access the site to edit. Any idea when they will be done?

I have recieved about 7 e-mails saying that the process is "almost complete" and to be able to access the website I need to accept the service agreenment. I cannot find the service agreenment to accep it.

Can you save or record streamed video or audio?

Sites like youtube (video) or MLB.com (video/audio) are what appeal to me. I understand copywrite laws and will not use this information to illegaly duplicate copywrited material.

I am hoping you can do some kind of "piping" where you can pipe the audio/video to a file or an application which can read/save the file.

I am figuring audio is a lot easier than video - heck, I could even play the stream and set up a recorder to pick it up but I was hoping to keep it in file format (mp3, wmv, mpeg)

I have a myspace group and I made a banner for people to put on their page to advertise it.
Well you know how other sites have those banners and then under it they have a little text box with what exactly you copy and paste? How do I make that?
