They know they can but they would rather come here and ask. They can get many opinions here. You don'at get points on Google.

Well, either they're too lazy, or they just have no idea how to use Google.

I ALWAYS Google for the answer to a question before answering it. And if I find the answer on Google, I tell them a link/some links I found, and then I leave with a "Google is your best friend. ;)"

LoL. It's not to be a smart ***, but they need to learn how to do a little research before asking here.

And to whoever said that not all questions can be answered on Google:

The asker DID NOT say why doesn't EVERYONE check Google before posting a question. I believe it was:

"Why don't A LOT ..." =D

HaHa. I just thought I'd point that out. And I do believe this question is a very good one.

And only those who answer negatively and do not agree with it are REALLY the ones who the question is aimed at. LoL. Sorry. =P

I think a lot of people like to get insight from other people's experience, different opinions, new ideas, etc,,
I know I do.

I just asked a question about things to do in PR. Sure, I could have Googled it or gotten a book and found impersonal info.
Instead, I asked here on YA and got *fantastic* tips from people who had been there or live there now. WAY better than a book on travel.

...because they want someone else to do the leg work for them?!? When I see a question which I think may be interesting I always use google to find the answer and then answer as though I'm super intelligent! ha ha ha!

Because its more personal on here if every body googled their questions there would be no Q&A

Why are you asking questions on here then. I think the general purpose of asking them on here is to get lots of different opinions, and to have fun of course

I have asked myself the same question...and then I look at my own questions and among them are ones I could have found the answers to myself...I think its called being lazy!

I've asked this question myself - personally I think it's because most of 'em are too lazy to do it themselves, but apparently it's because they prefer a more personal response
