I am in Georgia and want to installation the high speed , the fastest speed internet and wonder if anyone know which internet is the fastest that service in GA , Comcast Cable and Cable Internet are the same or this is two different internet company , thanks

I used to be with Telewest 2mb (good customer service, speed never went down past 1.9 ish). Moved house now with BT Total Broadband (not sure about it yet, meant to be up to 8mb but i only get about 2.5-2.7mb, heard bad things about customer service). Anybody really pleased with their provider? Give Details.

Hi,

I'm sort of a moron when it comes to computers, so please forgive me if this is a really basic question and/or outrageously impossible scenario.

I live in an apartment building, where I do not trust my neighbours. I have a LAN connection. I have been having problems with my phone (it's on a splitter with a filter.), sounding super fuzzy & sometimes not ringing at my end when people phone. Today the power in my apartment went out suddenly. When I knocked on the landlord's door to have it fixed, he was on a laptop (I'm sure he didn't have one before).

What I'm asking is, if it's possible, with some knowledge of cables/computers, could somebody else's internet connection be running through mine? Would that explain phone problems?

And IF this is possible, are files on my computer safe? Could the other person have access to my online information?

If anyone out there knows anything about this sort of thing, some help would REALLY be appreciated!! Thanks so much!!

I have at least twice, they said that I was in someones will & was supposed to recieve millions of dollars from somewhere in Nigeria & all they needed was my banking info. I can't believe some people fall for that! On Dr Phil there was this women inlove with a guy using the name Cole Harrison she met on the internet. Dr Phil got investigators & found that this so called Cole Harrison is scamming women for money so be careful! Just wanting to warn you all!

When I try to vote on some questions on Yahoo Answers, it just freezes on me and I have to close the window and start over again, does not happen always but to most of the votes. Otherwise asking and aswering works without any problems. Any ideas?
