maybe not a genius, but my web browsers keeps going back to my homepage all by itself. I don't know what promts it. Sometimes it happens when I visit certain pages. I blame Explorer and downloaded Firefox and its doing the same thing only this time it randomly opens a new tab. Can you help!

Even when IExplorer is not running, I get pop-up ads asking me to buy Anti-malware software. I also have a new toolbar that has appeared called the "Protection bar." I'm pretty sure they are related to each other. Also, occasionally, an ad for "Adult Friend Finder" with explicit photos pops up. I am using PC-cillin, Trend Anti-spyware, SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D, & Ad-aware running. Nothing helps. Can someone tell me how to get rid of these annoying issues?

I have 2 other profiles I used to use but don't anymnore, but when i try to delete them I get a box requesting my password, and when i enter it and hit "enter" I get the same box asking for the password, and every time I enter the password I just get the same damned box again. Meanwhile, the profiles endure. How do I get rid of these profiles? You're only allowed 3 and with these two stuck there I can't creat any more!

Hey all. My wife was recently (about 15 minutes ago) a victim of a phising scam. She received a Yahoo IM with an invitation to view some family pictures, that contained a link. When she clicke the link it prompted her for her Yahoo username and password, which she entered. A few minutes later she was signed off from Yahoo IM with a message stating that she was logged in from another location. She quickly realized that her password has been changed. We have been trying to retrieve her password from Yahoo but we belive that the attacker changed her zip code or birthday so we are unable to do so. Any ideas or suggestion?

I don't have a digital hook-up where I live, so cable is out of the question. I *have* to use the phone line. Right now, my laptop and PC both have 56k modems. But I'm tired of waiting 7 days for a file to finish downloading. How do I go about changing from dial-up to DSL? What do I need? Who is the best provider? Who is the cheapest provider? Having done all the necessary and got password verification the website I want tells me that " If you use a spam filter, please add this address to the "whitelist" (or list of "approved senders") to ensure that you will receive these services."

It doesn't seem to make any difference if I lower all my barriers or add their web site to approved sites etc.

I am using Windows XP - can anyone give me more explicit details.
