96 Ford Explorer; can't shift the gear selector and the brake lights don't work- checked all the fuses and they're good. owner's manual mentions a gear interlock circuit tied in with the brake lights- where is this circuit at? what might be the cause of my problem? Thanks!

I have a 1993 Ford Taurus that I am fairly sure has a bad harmonic balancer. I've never replaced one before. Is it a pretty difficult job to do or best left up to a mechanic? I would like to do it myself to save money, since I would have to have the car towed to a shop. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I use hand controls and the turn signal is in a place where my hand has to leave the hand controls in order to operate them. I need to install a secondary switch to operate the right and left turn signals.

have just bought a 1998 Ford Escort GTI and it has no owners manual. Ford can't help as they stopped printing manuals for a car "this old!"

I have a 1999 Ford F-150 and I want to lower the front end with drop spindles. I am looking for someone that has done this to this particular truck. What brand of spindles were used? Recently everytime when i start my explorer and try and back out of the driveway the radio/cd stops working. Is this normal? It did not do that when i purchased. Does it have anything to do with the O2 sensor or the ERG?

I traded in a older car for a 06' Taurus SE, and was dooped by a car dealership (owned by the company I work for none the less) into buying it and financing $17k. We are expecting an addition to our family and need a larger vehicle (pref. an SUV) but the car has depreciated so much its only worth $9k now. I have almost $8k in negative equity. What can I do? The other side of it is that I have limited credit history which was why I bought it in the first place through my place of work. That said, I hate the car to death and desperately want out of it. What can I do?
