Recently everytime when i start my explorer and try and back out of the driveway the radio/cd stops working. Is this normal? It did not do that when i purchased. Does it have anything to do with the O2 sensor or the ERG?

attempt leaping it again. Wiggle all (4) the clamps till you note them scratch the terminal. go away them for 10+ minutes. might want to pick to rev up the motor vehicle doing the charging (1500-2000rpm). Take it someplace and performance the battery checked. If it nevertheless purely clicks, yet doesn't turn, attempt hitting the aspect of the starter (larger metallic cylinder section) with a hammer even as someone tries to initiate it.

i own a repair shop, and it has a bad ground on it,,when you put it in reverse it raises a different side of the motor up,and looses ground on it ,i had an explorer that done this and a dealer couldn't even find the problem with it,i found it in about a minute ,,but that's whats wrong with it,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,,PS believe me it doesn't have anything to do with the 0-2 sensor,,or the egr valve.

2002 Ford Explorers will only back up if the radio is turned off or music is playing backwards.

Sounds like it would be the mlp sensor. (It's the neutral switch on the transmission)
