A friend is coming over to help me install new pads and rotors but he needs to know what kind of bolt holds on the calipers. (Allen wrench, hex bolt, etc.)

i own a repair shop,and it could either be a torx head bolt or a 14 mm size bolt on it,but after yoy remove it just remove the caliper ,and the rest of it is pretty simple just take your time with it,and you,ll do fine,,good luck i hope this help,s.

I have a '99 in the shop and it has a torx bit that removes the caliper looks like a 45. Be sure to compress the cylinder before you remove it as it is a bear afterewards,

on a 1998 windstar the bolts are 14mm.simple job changed mine 4 times.about a 1 hour job with the right tools.if you do a lot of city driving use the cheaper brake pads.easy on rotors. good luck

no longer comprehend to a shopper is that even sparkling brake rotors and drums will be out of round. my neighbor purely went through that such as his avert product. have the brake and rotor checked for runout and also assessments the wheels. a million pothole can make a wheel run out of round
