debating whether or not to get this work done. Mechanic estimates $400. Car has 197K miles!! Also some rust and a rod knock. Looking at buying another car sent us into sticker shock! Thanks anyone for the help!

on the drivers side the middle plug is next to the steering shaft and i can not get my rachet on the socket is there a special tool for this or how can i get the spark plug out

Back in 1991, a new Chevy Cavalier would cost you about 13000 US Dollars, NEW. Now, a similarly equipped 2006 Chevy Cobalt (The Cav's replacement) costs, you guessed it, about $13000 US Dollars. BUT, back in 1991, a normally equipped Chevy Extended Cab truck cost about $21000 US Dollars.........while TODAY, the similarly equipped Chevy Extended Cab truck costs about and in some cases in EXCESS of $30,000 US Dollars. The same formula holds true for other makes as well, I'm not picking on Chevrolet. My question is.........why?

An engine that you can still run on the streets but just about d@mn near pull the front tires off the ground, or maybe even do that... For instance, what size? heads? block? etc etc..?

I have seen yellow ones, but this one's listed as Gold and I'm thinking 'maybe not for me'.. Also looking at a blue one, but the gold one is a bit cheaper ... I could always paint it..but anyhoo.. if you find a link I'd be grateful!

The left blinker works fine until you turn on park lights and then it blinks twice as fast.The right side works fine all the time. I checked and the bulbs are the right ones and are good.The left plate light and reverse light go dim and bright with blinker also,but only the left.

It has a good amount of rust, and I don't want to have a bad bondo job done on it. We're talking underside, wheel wells, roof, etc. Would it be a better value to purchase a body that's in better shape to paint? The ultimate goal is to have a beautifully restored Nova. I already have the kick under the hood, hehe.

Sure ford has made some crap, they have also won every race title at one time or another.They have made some really nice cars. Chevy has made some nice cars , and some crap too.Is it the competition ? I dont hear either one of the two fussing about VW'S. I bet most of your replies with be either stupid or about the one 10 year old turd you bought from a car lot! I can respect an intelligent answer.
