I think you'll find answers more to the point but I had to stop by.
I think 67 was the most defining year for the Nova. My mother owned one, RED, 4 door, not at all what I'd choose , but the body style that year was as classic as you'll ever find, and largely collectable.
I'd opt for 2 door, no post, any color, any condition, to own one now.

i don't know about california but here in north carolina i've seen 2 this week one was a 66 the other was a 70

check ebay for one, or hemmings motor news, or look in the local papers, go around to car shows because sometimes they have cars for sale.
