It has a good amount of rust, and I don't want to have a bad bondo job done on it. We're talking underside, wheel wells, roof, etc. Would it be a better value to purchase a body that's in better shape to paint? The ultimate goal is to have a beautifully restored Nova. I already have the kick under the hood, hehe.

The way to tell is get some estimates on repair and some prices on other bodies. Compare the two plus everything else to complete the job. You might do better to find a whole nother car that's in better shape. Finish it off cosmetically and put your engine and running gear in It.

the guys on tv usually go with a different body..it also depends how deep and how much rust is there, somtimes they cut out body parts from the vehicle and weld other body parts back on. or bondo.

deppending on what you want to do if you wan to buy and replace pannels, or fix what you have you can always go to http://yearone.com/serverfiles/section.asp?sid=620§ion=Body
and you should be able to find what parts your looking for, but if you dont want to sink money into it but just time, take out a welder, grinder and a hammer and dolly and start pounding on the sheet metal, caus its going to take you a while to get the replacement pice to look good, thats why its always good to look at the aftermarket,
