...one or the other, & if so, which one is better? My situation is both (single parent & head of household- 2 kids, soon 2 jobs, no daycare expense). Also, when filling out tax forms for work...

"Personal Allowance Worksheet" - line E- Enter "1" if you will file as head of household on your tax return.... Do I enter "1"?...

"Employee Withholding Allowance Certificate"- line 5- Total number of allowances you are claiming...

And... although I won't not have any daycare expense, can I still get "Child Tax Credit"?

If I accidentally fill it out wrong, what will happen (it's so frikin' confusing...)? Thank you for any help.

I'm only going to make about 15grand this year, He'll make about 39grand. Is it okay for him to claim my daughter and I on his income tax return next year? What about on his w-4 right now? Would he be able to get the earned income credit?
My other thought was, what if he claimed me and I claimed my daughter? Would that be good or not as good as if he claims us both?

Okay, well heres the thing. I get paid by salary $1200, my check usually comes out for $945, I've had it as "single" and 1 dep. however I've been married for 3 months or so, and I barely remembered about the "single" part, so i asked to change it, so now its married and 1 dep. my check came out for $1000, and my husbands check came out for around $300 more, he too has married and 1 dep. will this affect us, when we have to do our taxes? Since its only us, will we have to pay alot? thank you.

I watched the movie “Zeitgeist” I found it really “interesting” and “amusing” but there was one part of the move that takes place at 1h 22min 55sec into the movie that really surprised me. I have no idea if its true or not so please if you have time watch that segment of the movie.

The movie says that no Law exists that requires you to pay this tax. is this true? If so why in hell do so people pay the income tax? In the movie they interview two IRS agents who claim they haven’t file a tax return in years without any consequences to them.

I haven’t started working so I haven’t had the opportunity to pay taxes yet. If all this **** turned out to be true it will make my day it (and maybe yours too).

I've been thinking of selling a few things on sites like etsy.com and ebay.com. Not just one or two things here and there, but like keeping a store open. Now, I know that if your income exceeds a certain amount your are supposed to mark that as income on your taxes. How do I find out how much this is, and what to do if I reach past that point? I don't think I will, but I want to make sure I am understand every possibility before I take my first step.

Thanks in advance!

IRS is hitting my paycheck hard. I can't even afford to buy my daughter school clothes, much less supplies, so it's only obvious that I don't have the retainer fee to hire a rep. Any advice on handling this problem myself? Every bit of info I found on the net, comes with a high price tag. How do I end this? The garnishments are causing much hardship for my family and the IRS don't seem to place too much importance on the fact that I'm trying to raise my daughter. Why should she have to suffer for my mistakes? I'm trying to handle this in a responsible manner, however I seem to be going nowhere. Could someone point me in the right direction? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
