Well, first of all, what state are you talking about? There's 50 of them, and I'd have to know which state you want to know about in order to tell you. I've attached a link to the states tax free weekends. Hopefully it will tell you about whatever state you want to know about.

That depends upon the state's rules. In TX it is generally limited to clothing only. In MO, computers and peripherals up to $3,500 and software up to $350 are exempt in addition to certain clothing and school supplies.

Not all states have a tax holiday.
