Since I moved to the UK I have experienced so much pronlems with people doing business. The estate agent, the gas company, now the financial advisor. I am so fed up that everyone pmakes promises which they don't full fill and telling you they will return calls and never hear from them again.

I thought the English were kind and gentle but I see they are (not all) greedy, rude and don't care about friendlyness just how to get as much money out of you with the least efford.

I am going to New Zealand in a couple for weeks time and was wondering what I should do - should I take a mixture of cash and travellers cheques or should I just draw money when I get there. Does anyone know how much I will be charged each time I draw out cash with my LLoyds Visa Card? What is the best currency to take travellers cheques in for New Zealand?

I act as an agent in helping put together a deal between two companies. The two companies sign a contract where one buys a product from the other. I AM NOT A SIGNATORY TO THIS CONTRACT. My role is purely to bring the two companies together where I know one of them needs what the other is offering. If either of them default on their obligation to the contract -i.e, one accepts the product and does not pay OR one pays but does not receive the promised product - am I in any way liable to the affected company??

I have acted in good faith and do not have any knowledge or inclination that one of the companies was going to default on their contractual obligation.

While I havent signed any contract per say - there is enough email correspondence to establish that I was a part of the negotiation process between the two companies in my role and capacity as an agent.

Please let me know what my legal / financial liability will be in such a circumstance.

Just wondered because they offered me free checking, and online banking and some zero percent interest loan to pay off some credit card debts.
They asked me to bring in my stack if I bonds and cash, and stuff so they can turn it into an investment. I think he said a CD.
Would you do this?

Cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) are a bad thing for an economy because it only serves to redistribute incomes, perpetuates inflation conditions by allowing real income to grow unnecessarily, and makes workers who do not have COLA’s worse off.

this is what the question is about so read this first thanks

Let me say from the outset that I'm NOT looking for online donations but, rather, HELP from someone familiar with how to go about contact corporations for donations. With that being said, here's why I need help:

We're in the process of developing a computer learning center that will focus on teaching those in our community (most of whom are in the lower income bracket) basic to advanced computer skills. These will include basic computer and Windows operation, Microsoft Office, and, depending on a skills assessment, multimedia presentations.

Without these basic skills it's hard for people to get a decent job (sometimes even then). The classes will be totally FREE of charge.

While we have the support staff to teach them and the facility in which to do so, we are a smaller church who cannot afford the number of computers we expect to need.

Any info would be appreciated.
