I have a BA in Business Admin & Management with concentrations in Accounting. I have worked in AP for 4 years... Where should I start my career? Banks won't hire me, too experienced for a teller, not enough for a Personal Banker... I am studying for the Series 6,7, 65, & 63. Also getting my CFP. Should I go back and get my MBA in Finance? Where do I start???

I am looking for some advice on playing the stock market. I recently re-enlisted in Iraq and am well off financially for my age group. I have money in mulitple savings accounts that I continously add to every month and have no debt minus a credit card and a car loan. I currently have 1000 dollars that I would like to put into stocks. I know that this is not a lot of money for the stock market, but I want to start of with this and then add to every month or two. Im not worried about making a huge overnight profit and retiring when Im 25. I just want to continue to build a nice little nest for when I am older so my wife and I can live fairly nice.

What are some good books, magazines, online newsletters that I can read to get a good start?
What are some websites that I can use to help educate me in the stock market?
And what is some good advice for a newbie like myself? I would appreciate any help that anybody can provide. Thanks.

the charts looked like the stock was going down, so you sell a covered call. With 2 weeks left it is going back up. would you consider buying it back so you won't get called out? Or can you.

I need an explanation about stock option strike prices. Once an option reaches/exceeds it's strike price-the price of the contract moves up in certain increments. What are the increments? $10 for every one penny move or what? I AM NOT INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT GAMMA AND DELTA a simple explanation will do.

I have heard that the indexes return an average of 10=12% over the long haul but I have not seen any hard data on this. I realize this is maybe a real simple question (bare with me, I am a newbie to investing) but where can I find this data and is it true?

Should I expect to even do better than 10-12% with dollar cost averaging if I am putting in the same amount on a monthly basis?

All input is greatly appreciated.

...but I am really not sure where to begin. I thought it would be as easy as going to Vanguard, getting an account, and putting my money there, but I am confused. I am young enough to handle some risk and am only looking for growth, so i was thinking something like 80% stocks, 20% bonds.

Is there a real basic book that I can buy that will give me a very straight forward plan for a total newbie?

Thanks.

Spread trading is not a jobbing between bid and offer, nor it involves speculation, its a different trading technique as there is one like option trading.

I want to start some. I know alot of the market, as I just finished my 3rd book on them. I signed up with sogoinvest.com I heard its good...But besides that, when I say buy a stock, do I own them right away? (all onlnie markets, for general answer) Is it as simple as buying them, and then if I want to sell, sell them. If I just keep like 20 shares. and want to leave them for like years, is that okay? and why does it need Social Security Number? Do I get taxed?

Im in school right now to be a dental assistant, and I already own my home. I want the last of my money to grow without risking losing it in stocks or high yield investments. I have considered cd's but they tie it up for a year and I only get 5%.

Im going to start off with $2000 for this experiment in the stock market. I'm not interested in mutual funds or CD's. I'm looking for affordable stocks like SUNW that are currently low in price and stable as well. Thanks!

I really don't understand what happened with this stock after the earning report came out. Sure, I understand it needed a "google" good quarter to increase it's stock value but I do not think the 10 point sell off justifies a 42% increase in profits. It's a great brand, it's eating up market share like crazy, Nike is no competition, at least up here in Calgary. Buy or Sell?
