.PK-

A daily publication compiled by the National Quotation Bureau with bid and ask prices of over-the-counter stocks, including the market makers who trade them. Unlike companies on a stock exchange, companies quoted on the pink sheets system do not need to meet minimum requirements or file with the SEC. Pink sheets also refers to OTC trading.

The pink sheets got their name because they were actually printed on pink paper. You can tell if a company trades on the pink sheets because the stock symbol will end in ".PK"

.OB

regulated electronic trading service offered by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) that shows real-time quotes, last-sale prices and volume information for over-the-counter (OTC) equity securities. Companies listed on this exchange are required to file current financial statements with the SEC or a banking or insurance regulator. There are no listing requirements, such as those found on the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange, for a company to start trading on the OTCBB.

Stock that trade on the OTCBB, will have the suffix ".OB".

It is important to note that companies listed on the OTCBB are not a part of the Nasdaq Exchange. The truth is, OTCBB stocks are not especially large or stable and are considered very risky. As a result, very few OTCBB stocks are successful in making the jump from this market to the Nasdaq or any other major exchange because they are unable to meet the listing requirements. Furthermore, because OTCBB stocks tend to trade infrequently, the bid-ask spread is larger.

.ob is the bulletin board and .pk is the pink sheets. For the most part stay away from the bulletin board. These are generally stocks that are very poorly capitalized junk stocks and if they are legitimate rarely get a fair valuation. I typically stay away from them unless they are in the limbo period of moving to the better exchange. Usually you will get a major positive change in valuation when the stock moves to the better exchange. The pink sheets on the other hand are another issue. Usually the U.S. based pink sheet stocks are pure frauds. They have no accounting standards to uphold whatsoever. Definitely avoid them. The other lot of pink sheet stocks aren't necessarily bad at all. They are usually foreign companies whose ADR aren't listed on a major exchange. Some companies are mega cap and others are small. For instance, many Russian oil giants trade this way as well as a bunch of smaller cap names on the Canadian, London and Tokyo exchanges. If you do buy a foreign based ADR listed on the pinks many times they are illiquid with U.S traders so it is best to have a broker that has the ability to directly trade on foreign markets. Both exchanges are very tough markets to prosper in but the instances listed above have been probably the most productive areas for me in the last 5 years.

They are US micro-cap stocks that trade "over the counter." They are too small or do not file the required SEC, NASDAQ, paperwork on time to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange or NASDAQ's regular listings. OB means the company is listed on the "Bulletin Board" (Then why OB instead of BB? Not sure, maybe OB means the Over the counter bulletin Board). PK stands for "Pink Sheets" the smallest of the small (or baddest of the bad) started to be listed on papers that just happened to be colored pink.

This penny stock service has years of proven experience. Ultimately it is the best service for beginners to use https://tr.im/O4jq5
You will have to wait between 3 and 10 days to get into the system in most cases. When I signed up it took 8 days. I wished it was faster, but if you can wait a week or two to start earn life changing money than you will have what it takes to make it in this business.
