Webvan - (WBVN)

The company was one of those late 90s Internet companies that popped up then fizzled. The company delivered groceries to customers from Internet orders. WBVN filed chapter 11 bankruptcy on 7/9/2001and is a bad memory.

DSL.Net without a doubt. I think the symbol was DSLN. I managed to ride that one down to under a buck. I even did due dilligence by going to the office and making sure it was really there, talking to people and getting sold a serious bill of goods. If you look now you can view their 2005 annual report (yes I know 2005). After that I learned all about puts and shorting. It was educational and without a doubt the worst investment I ever made.

When I started investing, I would buy penny stocks because I thought that was what I could afford.

It was a very expensive education.

I invest differently now, and got rich doing it.

NFI... got in because of the nice dividend...and they performed well for awhile, but it turned out they must have been lending mortgage money to people who really weren't qualified...now they're left holding a bunch of " bad paper" and their clients drove off into the sunset in their rusty pick-ups!!!
Could have been a lot worse..got in around 28...got a few divs..got out about 24.50....now it's about 7...( up from 5 !! )
