I have average annual data going back to 1960 for all data. I have run multiple regressions in Excel, but I am not sure of what the data means on the Excel print out. I get conflicting answers from people I know who are familiar with statistics.

What controls the index and the numbers. How does an individual or a common man gain from the business. Do I have a stake if I dont trade in the business. If I dont gain isnt the business only for a few individuals. Can this business be called as a legalised gambling. Explain.

I'd like to include a large-cap value fund in my new job's 401k account, but the only one offered is the AllianceBernstein Value Fund (ABVIX). It's only about a year old. It had a pretty good year last year, but how much faith should I put into a one year old fund? It doesn't even have a Morningstar rating yet. Would you trust this fund, or should I keep my money elsewhere until this fund proves itself?

Why can't they just tell you which ones to pick ? What are they trying to hide? Are they choosing the good ones for themselves ??

The only dedicated growth fund my 401(k) plan offers is TRBCX. It's a large-cap growth fund. Its expense ratio is 0.85% with no load. I've done some research on the fund, and even though it hasn't put up overly inspiring results the past 5 years, Morningstar still gave it a 4-star rating.

What are your opinions of TRBCX? Is it worth having as a core holding, worth a few percent of my contributions, or should I forego it completely and dedicate more to the plethera of ultra-low-expense index funds my plan offers?

Also, I easily have 30+ years until retirement if that makes any difference.

Get Rich Corporation has to choose between two investment opportunities. Investment A requires an immediate cash outlay of $100,000 and provides after-tax income of $20,000 per year for 10 years. Investment B requires an immediate cash outlay of $1,000 and generates after-tax income of $350 per year for five years.
1. Using a cost of capital of 12%, calculate the net present value of each investment, and determine which one Get Rich should select.
2. Calculate the internal rate of return of each investment. On the basis of this method, which investment should Get Rich select?
3. Interpretive Question: How do you account for the difference in rankings? Under the circumstances, which method would you rely on for your decision?

Would this be a good investment? Before the currency was 3 to 1. If it goes back to that I would be a millionaire. Pros and cons please.
