i'm a new aspirant, heading for the shares but confused how to go about it. Gathered few knowlwdge from books and websites. Approached sharekhan but reply was not prompt otherwise I've no idea. I,m not aware of other online trading services except icici which others say has high brokerage. My place being far off from any city doesn't have any agent but i want to open a demat (trading account) which I feel would be best if online. kindly throw me some light. Every word of yours would be highly valued.

Ok i dont get it how do people make money on this, i have been reading at vangurad-there investor education. One of the examples where when people make money for when they are 65.....30 year investment???

so how do all these young people driving there mercedes talking about they made it on the stock market how do they get so much money from it? buying one stock at a time? mutual funds??? how?

please help i really want to understand how this works....any help and breaking it down for me would be useful...

Hello,

I used my online bank to transfer money to another account,

I can see that this money is in my other account already but STILL showing in my old account!! Even though I already trasnfered.

I think the bank did't update this transaction yet.

I am just wondering if it is possible to cash this money (which I already transfered but still showing in my account) using ATM machine..LOL

I will not do this, I am just wondering....

I was given a Universal Health Insurance policy. It is all "paid up", meaning I do not have to put any more money into it. It says that the policy will continue in force until "Maturity". What happens at maturity if the person insured hasn't died? Is there money left in the policy?
