i got a qoute from Churchill on the phone: fully comp = £690 if paid monthly. i took that.

but then i got an invoice showing £750 and additionally small print comments that they will charge some extra fees for paying monthly- so total would be over £800 !! I WAS ASKING TWICE on the phone if this quote is all inclusive, are they any extra costs...i was speaking to different sales people there over a number of calls, so i was sure all is clear.

so now i called their customer services and they say they cant help coz the quote is no longer on their system to check if i was actually offered what i say i was offered. I did not get a hard copy of this quote either, so no way to prove anything they say.
what should i do ?

My husband's employer has offered us health benefits-
I Was a member of Kaiser in Stockton, CA and I was paying 160.00 a month for a "$25.00" deductable plan, I thought I was reasonable.

The packet of info we recieved HAS so many options, HMO, PPO , deductable plan, co payment plan... ARGH! it's too much!

We rarely go tot he DR. Unless it is for Check ups, Birth Contol or emergencies. How do I know what to choose?

For a plan similar to what I had before I was married, it's 324.00 a monh for both of us. is that expensive? it seems so high! ( not including, vision and dental)

My Hubby's Boss doesn't have anyone to explain this info- It's a company of 20 people.

Can any one help me out?

Hi, I was told it's normal for long term care insurance premiums to be raised every five years, even if I buy the more expensive coverage. Is this true, or are there policies that are locked in at a specific rate? Thanks for your assistance.

Why is COBRA considered better than individual health insurance plans? When I did some research, for almost the same kind of coverage but cheaper premiums, I could find individual health insurance plans. But I keep hearing that given an option, going for COBRA is the wiser decision. I don't understand what the catch could be in these individual plans. Any insight?

There is a woman I work with who is sitting here complaining about how she and her husband make too much money to receive free health insurance from the state (they have to now pay $30 for her whole family). She is 36 with an associates degree and pregnant with their first child, married less than one year, and she has one child that she adopted at about age 27. Her husband has no education past high school and pays $25 a month in insurance for his 2 daughters from a previous marriage. I have a Master's degree and work in a law office. I'm 26 with a husband and one child age 2. My husband is a state employee with a bachelor's degree; he is also a veteran of two wars. Granted, we have a fantastic insurance plan because of his position, but we pay a whole lot more than 30/month. Why is it that in our country, people are rewarded for not getting an education and making their own crappy life situation while people who work their butts off and risk their lives are punished?!?!?!?!?

My husband's company just dropped ALL insurance plans except a high deductible HSA with a $6,000 annual family deductible. Before the insurance will pay one cent we will have to come up with over $10,000 a year (premiums plus deductible). Our previous plan was an HMO and the premiums were the same as this HSA plan except we only paid a $20 copay for most services. I don't understand how this plan is supposed to save us money and improve our health (according to the literature sent to us). Does anyone who have kids have this type of plan? Would it be better for us to shop around for our own coverage (since based on the premiums, it appears hubbies employer is not paying any portion of them)?

My sister and her husband have tried to get home owner's insurance but were turned down. She said they were denied because her husband is a diabetic and she is considered obese because of her weight She may be overweight BUT not obese. They need the insurance in case of one of the other's demise in the future that the home will be paid for. They are purchasing a triple-wide mobile home in North Carolina. Can you please give me the name(s) of insurance companies that will be able to give them home owner insurance in North Carolina.

Thank you all for your assistance in the aforementioned matter.
