My family and I do not shop at wal-mart. Because of the way they treat their employees and the fact that most of them are non-union. Also when they crush the competition they do raise their prices back up at that store. Target, Kmart, Shopko and Meijer's are the same price if not cheaper.
So I was wondering how many other people do not shop there.
And if you do shop there why?

As of now, I am a nursing student and will graduate after 4 years. I will then enter medical school and after graduation will take my specialization in the US. After I graduate in my scpecialty, I will have a capital of about 500k - 2 Million USD. What business would be good and where? I actually plan to start my own software company business like Mr. Gates. Do you think some other businessmen would like to join in my company then and start a global corporation with me contributing that amount only? I like the idea of having big profits.

We don't have a Kohl's in my area. I have a chance to get some gift cards and Kohls is one of the stores. I'm planning on using the cards for Christmas gifts and was wanting some variety/affordable gifts that I can shop (online with gift cards) for several different family members. Are there different departments in Kohls like movies, electronics, clothing, games, etc...? Thanks!

This year, my oldest daughter who is a Senior in High School has been selected to become a part of the Young Ambassadors. She will need to come up with about 8,000 to go on the trip by next May.
has anyone ever gone to organizations and received sponsorships or how would you get people or companies to sponsor your trip? if you know of any way that is legal and moral to raise that kind of money fast, please help us out with the name's of organizations or companies we can silicate. all help will be very much appreciated for a girl who would do great at representing America.

... not looking for you to give me an answer - but any thoughts you toss out might help me see things from different angles.

I work for a title insurance co.. Up until a little over a year ago the company was doing well - we were at 70 people & growing. I did not write title however, I was the IT Assistant to the IT Manager - a 2 person department. You've probably heard of "sub prime lending" disaster across the country. In the last year we lost our 2 largest clients. We've had 2 rounds of layoffs & key people are leaving on their own now. We're down to 40 people & I expect more will be gone soon. The IT Manager left on his own 8 days ago. This leaves me in a situation I could not have predicted. I'm not qualified to take on all the responsibilites of the IT Mgr position. But they still need me to keep the staff productive. I've always been under paid. I've taken more responsibility. Do I dare address the compensation issue & risk being let-go. They could outsource IT.
