My family and I do not shop at wal-mart. Because of the way they treat their employees and the fact that most of them are non-union. Also when they crush the competition they do raise their prices back up at that store. Target, Kmart, Shopko and Meijer's are the same price if not cheaper.
So I was wondering how many other people do not shop there.
And if you do shop there why?

Despite the fact they're within walking distance, I'd rather walk 100 miles barefoot on a bed of nails than shop at Wal-Mart!!!

My mother shared the sordid details of Wal-Mart with me years ago. I have not shopped there since. Their employees are poorly treated and poorly paid. 85% of their goods come from foreign countries (read, sweat shops & child labour), yet banners through out their stores scream "Buy American." They are anti-union and claim to have an open door policy. However, according to employees, it's more a case of if you open your mouth, they show you the door! There are numerous other reasons, but I'm sure you get this gist.

I would sooner spend more money a/o time, supporting a small honest business.

Me too, for the same reasons you don't.

My dad shops there all the time. Primarily because he lives in Georgia and you don't have a big selection in the rural areas. Plus, on a fixed income (and he's a cheapo) he can get his groceries and other incidentals for a good price.

I have gone into a Wal-Mart twice in my life, and it has confirmed my believe that Wal-Mart is evil. It is a giant corporate device that is helping to destroy America bit by bit.

I don't like this store much either but they do have really good deals sometimes. Every once in a while I go in for a discounted item, but usually regret it later. The price discount isn't alwyas worth it.

ME!

My wife and I refuse! Target is cleaner, cheaper, and usually far less crowded.
