Why does it seem that CEOs always resign on a Sunday? Is there there a benefit to doing this?

Making major anouncements when all markets are closed allows the news to filter through the investor community before trading resumes. This allows people to think carefully before making critical decisions and reduces the information advantage that a limited number of people might have.

Because people usually get drunk on Saturday night, and on Sunday, there is still a hangover, they just dont know what they talking about.
