I know to ask a lawyer and will, but I wanted some insight into the issue. I want to essentially know if a person owns shares in a corporation and wants to leave these shares to his children, can a common law wife sue for the shares if he does not want to leave them to her? What rights does each party have?

Hello. My mother and I recently recieved a very phony-looking and suspicious email from a South African coorporation. They said we'd won 1,000,000 dollars, USD, and that we could fly out to pick it up or give info. it came with lots of numbers, ID's, and it seemed instantly fake and scammy to me, but I want to be sure.

I work at a restaurant in Manhattan as a book keeper. A linen company has been our supplier for a little over five years because a former manager signed a five year contract thinking it was a one year contract. Last November, the contract came to an end, but our new manager, not aware of the situation, signed another five year contract, because he was told the price was adjusted. And, the length of the contract is not listed on the front page where he signed. He was not informed that there was a back page which has all the details of the contract. He is not fluent in English, and he just believed he was signing to agree the price being adjusted. Meanwhile, this company has been causing the owner and the manager headaches after headaches by not delivering the right amount of things we need, sometimes not the right kind we need and so on. So, when they asked me to terminate the agreement with them, the linen company's owner got upset and now is threatening to sue us. What should we do?

American car companies are in trouble in part because they didn't predict high gasoline prices in advance--designing a vehicle takes about three years. Now people aren't buying as many of their gas-guzzling trucks. If they invested in gasoline futures, they could offset some of their losses. Have they done so?

Recently, an article in the Business section of the Daily Breeze of Torrance, California, did a story on a small coffee stand in Tukwila, Washington called: Cowgirls Espresso. The company employs young women dressed in revealing halter tops and bras to serve coffee at these small drive thru coffee stands. According to the article, the women wear 'pasties' over their nipples and as long as they aren't showing their breasts and buttocks, they aren't breaking the law. And according to the patrons (who are predominately male), the coffee ain't bad neither.
Business, according to the article, is good (huh, who wouldda thunk it?). The stands make about $800 per day, with the women receiving minimum wage, plus $80 to $150 in tips.
Question for you ladies (or anyone who cares to answer): Is this good buisness or blatant 'sexplotation?' Please elaborate on your response.
