I work for a marketing firm who specializes in website that have been optimized for search engines. I am thinking of becoming an exclusive 'search engine optimizer' but am wondering if this is too broad of a category. Can one specialize in this and make a decent living? I'm not quite ready to do my newsletter on Yahoo! yet--not till I get some things squared away. I've been using Freewebs for several years now.

But because of the increase in costs of maintaining the site, I'm going to have to do a data dump and then start over.

I don't mind paying a little to get a little, but at this point, I don't have the extra $138 to fork out per year for two sites.

Any suggestions or ideas?

I have had a small lawn service buisiness for 5 years. I started off with 8 customers I got 4 from going door to door in my neighborhood. but they were people I knew somewhat as an aquantance. I'm wondering how to get more work for myself, they're not telling anybody else about me, and I'm standing still for years now, only making $100.00 week mowing with push mower...I don't wan't to or can't afford to spend $30.00 on an add in the local newspaper, and don't really feel confortable with this door to door thing...what should I do?

I was looking at a job that sounded really interesting (Copywriter) and they stated "Ideally you will have a DM/advertising background."

What courses or jobs would I need to take to get a DM/advertising background (also, not quite sure what this is)? Also what qualifications would I need to become a copywriter (would I have to go to uni or would a degree from a correspondence college suffice)?
