I want my wife to build her credit history, will it help her if I name her an authorized user of my credit card? Will the credit card company ask me for her data? The reason I ask this is because I noticed that when giving her an additional credit card the credit card company won't ask her data? So which is best, giving her an additional credit card or making her an authorized user? Thanks for the help, I'm from another country and I'm trying to build credit history.

I have not yet bought a home but I am curious what effects refinancing. Is it based on how much equity you have built?

Only had my first house for 2 years so new to this game. Got about 6000 pounds debt after doing our house up. Seeing our mortgage advisor on thurs, does anyone know if its possible to borrow an extra 6000 on top of our existing mortgage from the bank to pay these loans off, and if we do if we can keep our monthly mortgage payments the same by just extending the period we're going to pay it back in. At the moment we're paying the mortgage back quite quickly, but if we extend this our monthly payments shouldn't go up should they? Can anyone help explain all this to me, and if I'm on the right track in what I've said. Thank you.

I have a B.A., worked on a presidential campaign, managed political projects, worked as a business development manager, etc. - and now I am applying for bartenders positions so that I can go back to school to do what I really want to do: photography.
While going to school and interning I want a job that is both flexible and relatively high paying and bartending is just that. The problem is that employers ideally want people with no time conflicts - what should I tell them? Bartending jobs are very competitive in Los Angeles and I of course want to work at a place where the tips will be great. The interviewer always remark that this is an "interesting" career change for me which forces me to explain my rationale. I always emphasis that I NEED to make money and that my schedule will work around my job but still feel that it is hurting me. I realize that many artists in L.A. bartend and wait tables, so I my situation is not unique.
Thanks in advance.
