I run an entertainment and events mgt business in Malaysia. Although my company is home-based / very small, recently many local clients have been recommending us to their overseas clients (end-users or event companies). I am very happy about this but it is a dilemma to deal with overseas cos. esp. when it comes to payment. We usually ask for 50% deposit and 50% balance to be paid by cash immediately after the event. This is stated in our contract but some clients have violated the contract (by paying only when they return to their country and some don't pay full!). Recently when another overseas client said they'll only pay after the event when they return to their country, I withdrew my contract. Finally they agreed to my terms and conditions and they did pay me cash after the event. My dilemma is that they are returning and have asked me again if they can pay AFTER the event! I foresee that as I have more overseas dealings, I will be constantly facing such problems. Help!

This card had not been used for two years, but every month they tack on a late charge, a charge for being over the limit. The original debt has probably tripled due to these charges. My granddaughter is the owner of this card and has been out of work, had a baby, and is married to an idiot. She has not been able to work (only one car). I sure would like to know what is going to transpire. She has a court date in Sept. THANKX

I am trying to find the best way to profit from the increase in the price of rubber in the stock market. Is there a sector fund for rubber? Would a manufacturer of rubber benefit from the increase in the price of rubber? If so, which companies? Or should I just turn to the commodities market?

I am a freelance graphic/web designer. I am paid a flat fee to design and send the company's HTML enewsletter to their customers and wholesalers. At the onset of this deal, I was told by the company's owner that I would be supplied text and images by their PR person (or sometimes their marketing assistant), and then I would do my part. At first, I received everything that I was supposed to. The next newsletter, I had to hunt down some images. The one after that, they tried to add a few additional sections, which I had to negotiate more money for. This newsletter, the text is missing for a couple of sections. all that I received for it was the heading and a note to call so-and-so for text and images. How do I tell this PR person that I am not being paid to do this without sounding lazy or rude? I am hesitant to get the company's owner involved-I don't want to sound inept or unprofessional. Any ideas on how to handle this PR person?

We sell vintage jewelry and collectibles online and often go to estate sales, etc. in the Bay Area. However, we recently moved to the valley and have found that estate sales are almost non-existent. The few we have been to have been run poorly, the places trashed by customers and the dismayed family members watching in horror. I got the idea that perhaps my hubby and I would start an Estate Sale biz that was a full service, in other words meet carefully and respectfully with family of deceased member or someone that went to a nursing home; handle everything from organizing whatever is left after they take what heirlooms they want; pricing, advertising, dealer previews, cleanup and haul off, donation of leftovers etc. The last thing a family needs to deal with is all the stuff but they don't want to see people rummaging through it and disrespecting the property etc. I would like a name that is respectful and sounds like their items will be treated w/ dignity.
