I'm in a wedding this weekend and I don't know what to do with my hair. It's layered, with the longest part at my collarbone and the shortest a few inches above that. When I pull it back the shorter pieces always fall out. What is a fast, easy updo that I can do with this length hair for a wedding?

Note: It's important that it be simple, because the bride is getting very fussed about anyone possibly looking better than her- for her peace of mind, it's crucial that I not look like I'm trying to show her up.

Please help!!

I have dyed black hair, and I want to dye the underside bright red without having to bleach or strip it. I tried Colour Rays, which turned it a reddish color, and some spots turned out brighter than others. Is there a good brand that colors over black hair? Or should I just try the same one again, hoping for brighter results?

What is with salon clients wearing a smock under the cape when getting chemical services done? And why is it that females getting the same service I am getting (color)offered one and I have to ask (including one that denied liability for ruined clothes by not wearing one) and getting told the cape's enough. I mean yeah there've been a few execptions but still.

so right now i have black hair which is in the process of growing out(its actually grown out quite a bit)but sometime in the near future i really want to lighten it sooooo....i know the only way to do that is to strip or bleach it,i would probably strip it,so does anyone know if toni & guy the academy does that?and also after they strip it do they have to dye it my natural color(light brown) or could i ask for them to dye it a completely diff color?my ultimate goal is some shade of blonde so even after they stripped it dont you think they would have to bleach it?idk im so confused please help!
and yes i know this will all be very damaging to my hair but I see no other way!Im so tired of black hair and my hair grows so slow!

I have to swim in gym class twice a week and have really long thick hair, and it gets REALLY damaged and gross from the chlorine. I dont blow dry it, it isnt dyed or anything like that, it is just chlorine damaged so its always dry, wirey and frizzy. Which shampoo / conditioner should i use? are there any deep conditioning treatments i can try at home, either a good home remedie, or some deep conditioning hair mask type thing i could buy at a store? just something at home because i dont want to go to a salon or anything.

My hair is finally long enough to ponytail, but this past week i had been ponytailing it as it was wet, so it kind of molded it that way and stretched it out a bit. After washing it still hasn't completly gone back to it's "fullness" and curlyness as it was before. Maybe there are shampoos that would help getting it back to normal?

Ok. I got a hair cut for the first time in about 4 years and my hair is starting to grow back but its not growing back how it used to be it was very very curly and now is growing back straight, is it normal for your hair texture to change i used not be able to run a comb through it without getting stuck and now it can go through all the way and it seems to grow a lot faster.

Over the past couple months, this off center bald spot has been coming in on the back of my head. I went to the doctor and it was diagnosed as alopecia. The doctor was saying the hair has stopped falling out at this point, and it will most likely grow back within a year. What experiences have you had with alopecia?

I have been dying my hair black for a while now, and I like it, but I want to add some character to it. I want to dye the underside of my hair BRIGHT red, but I know that black is near impossible to dye over. Does anyone have any suggestion on what brand would work the best to do this? And where I would get it?

when it's wet. My face is round with chubby cheeks and a round nose, so I a little bit feel like I should keep my hair long. I've been toying with the idea of chopping it off (above my shoulders), but I can't decide if it will look good. Any suggestions? All of your help is appreciated!
