Fashion & Accessories - March 2007

I'm a average african american female. I go to school with "drop dead gorgeous white females".The majority of them come from good homes and are well off. I feel so out of place I want to drop out. And find another school that has more diversity. Unfortunately that is not an option for me considering the course is paid in full. I have alway's allowed my low self steem to control my life. This is the one time I cannot let it ruin my future. I recently joined a fitness class, and had a consultation with a plastic surgeon to have two procedures done. To help improve my appearance. Even though I know I cant afford this. I have a male/friend that is willing to pay for me to have this done. Deep down inside no matter how good you look on the outside. It's how you feel within. Honestly I feel that after surgery I will still have low self esteem. I'm interested in hearing from other females who may have been in a simuliar situation. How did you handle this, and what was the outcome?

I am over 6 feet tall and have really long legs. I would like to know what stores like carry long or tall blue jeans that look good. I live in Indiana If that helps.

Ok everyone, I don't have a model-like pair of legs. My legs are not perfect at all. I can only say they are ok. I always blame my legs whenever I wanna wear shorts badlyyyyyy. But now I decide not to anymore. i WANNA wear shorts!!!!!!! I just wonder if my legs aren't perfect, can I still wear shorts (a very cute and short one)? Would there be any one who will bathmouth about my legs behind my back? Pleaseeee pleaseeeee help!! It's getting hot in TX and I wanna wear shorts!!!! Btw, i'm 18, short 5ft2 and 105 lbs. The most ideal costume would be something that everybody would recognise, like a well known character or occupation, and also something fun to dress up in. Better still, if any of them include a flamboyant dress of some sort, that would be fab! :)

i can now take my earrings out and everything is fine accept where my holes r i can feel like a bump (sota like a little hard thing) on both ears. it doesnt hurt or nething an i can put the earrings in and out fine but just wondering if it is a problem or not? thx =)

My grade eight grad is in June and all of my friends are starting to shop around. I need stores and/or small boutiques in the GTA where they sell grad dresses. I don't want to shop in mass retailers like Laura Petite, Le Chateau, or Fairweather, because some of my friends already got their dresses there. I am light-skinned, brown hair, brown eyes and I am about 5 feet. I have curvier hips and thighs. I don't want anything too formal since it is only grad and not prom. Will a cocktail dress look good for the occasion. Please help me out...

I just posted basically the same thing but here are more details...My boyfriend is turning 19 and he wants to amp up his wardrobe. Right now he's very teenager ish with jeans and Salvation Army looking t-shirts (you know with the names of teams and schools that aren't even located in our state). I know what kind of shoes and jeans to get him, that's the easy part. I've already bought him the most amazing cologne for Christmas. For his birthday, we're going shopping and he keeps saying he wants to look "bada*s" which means to me, he's not into button up collar shirts or preppy stuff. We've been through ae and the pants are good, but all they have are polos (he may be into those, we'll try) and button up plaid or striped shirts. He is not into that and I'm not into changing him. He has his own style, we're just not sure what that is. He's pretty skinny and tall. Like his pants should be a 29 inch waist and 32 inch inseam. Graphic tees are good, what else for top?

I'm a student who never knows what I should be wearing. I'm average height, quite skinny with not much up top, small waist but big hips. My legs aren't bad. I have a pale complexion and green eyes and brown hair. I like greens, blues, browns, greys, purples and black. I'm not keen on yellows, pinks, reds, oranges, white etc.
WHAT CAN I WEAR? All suggestions appreciated, but I am on a budget so think Primark...
