I have leather steel toe boots, that have motor oil "soaked" into them, is their any hope of cleaning them?

take them to a shoe repair shop or maybe a car detail shop, some where that specialises in leather you know? if there is any hope the cleaners might be able to help but if the oil is soaked in then they might just be a lost cause

Try saddle soap...a leather cleaner...available most anywhere...Maybe a degreaser...but use it on a small part of the boot first to make sure no permanent damage.

To those who said you cannot wash leather:

Ever hear of cows standing in the rain?

SURE, you can wash leather!

NO!! you can only steam it like at the dry cleaners

take them to a professional. do not attempt to do this yourself. and the sooner the better.
