black is more formal, and it gives a classier vibe. red is more outgoing and can be classy too, but is a little more vivatious!

Black dresses are more mysterious...Red dresses are more attention grabbing. If you want to make a statement like "I'm hard to get with, it takes time to win me over," go with the black one. If you want to say "Here i am, come get me!," go with a red dress!!
