I'm from Hong Kong; I'm currently an international student at a college in the US.

Honestly, Asian-American girls at 18 look like Hong Kong girls at 25! And Hong Kong girls at 18 look like Asian-American girls at 14.

Why? Aside from food and environmental factors, here are reasons put forth by two Asian-American Yahoo Answerers:

So why do American girls want to make themselves look older and (in THEIR eyes) "sexier" with make-up and tanning?

i am going into middle school and i want to look good... i am like into long shorts and like basketball, soccer, football, etc.... and i am goin onto 7th grade i am sorta in between looking good and wanting to play my favorite sports...... i had already been in the school for a year. what do u think i should do... I got my ears peirced for the first time today (woo-hoo!) I know I have to leave in my studs for 6 weeks so my holes won't grow in. I also know that I should wear "real" earrings (meaning 14-karot gold or white gold) for a while to reduce the risk of my ears being prone to reactions from "fake" jewelry (the stuff you get for $0.99 at Wal-mart) later in life. My question is, how long do I have to do this? My mom says 6 months, my sister says a year! Help!!!

My question is: even though tanning lotion can make you tan better or faster, is it an absolute must? Can regular lotion work? All I care about is that my skin stays hydrated. I don't need an accelator or a bronzer. Thanks!

is it OK that i just turned 13 and that NEVER had my first kiss????
i am really worried about it because I dont think that i'll have my first kiss until im like 20 or something.
do u have any simple technickes(not sure if spelled it right) for the first kiss, like something easy? cause i mean if my first kiss does happen earlier than the age of 20, i dont want it to be a make-out lol
