I have an old glass top patio table that is quite an eyesore. I wanted to paint the base black and glue some of those flat marbles onto the top of it. But I would still like to be able to set drinks down on it without them falling over.

What would I use to glue the marbles down since it is a very large area and its going to be exposed to the elements?

Also is there anything clear I can slather onto it or pour over it after I get all the marbles in place to make it a smoother surface?

I would like to keep it clear so that the light can shine through it...

but do you think if I glued the marbles down and then grouted over them that the marble would still be clear all the way through to the bottom (like little windows)?

And can I even use grout around the marbles over the glass table top??

I bought a small replica of one of these statues on a visit to Paris
earlier this year in a small gift shop. it cost only a few euro and was meant to be used as a candlestick it now sits in a corner of the garden patio and is quite a conversation piece to visitors when they call.
short of returning to the shop in person does anyone know where I could get some more even on a different style.on the internet.I have tried ebay without any luck.

Hi, Im interested in making moulds for face & body parts. I found a way to create my latex mould from a plasticene feature. ie a nose. Now I would like to fill the latex mould with another material to create a nice, flexible, soft feature.

Does anyone know what kind of material I need to do this & also where I can get it. I live in the UK.

Im also interested in making a cast of my face..Do you know the best material to use? Plaster of paris seems heavy, quick drying & hard to work with. Thanks!

It's weird because I had always heard how the Greeks loved the human form. Also, there are lots of other Greek statues without the penis covered. Why is it that it is covered in some of them?

I picked up a piece of china, it's like a little serving tray, about a foot long and 8 inches wide with "handles". It's white, probably had gold trim, but worn now. The mark on the bottom is green with "Prussia" at the top, then a 5 pointed crown, then the letter B in kind of a horseshoe type thing under that. I don't think it's RS Prussia, but it might be. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!
