okay, i am going to participate in a photo contest, and we have to take the pictures acording to the theme "the desert blooms"... any ideas about what the heck that means???? i personally think= the desert is a booring, bland, hot, no-one-wants-to-be place... and when it so-called "blooms", its sort of showing the desert's other side, its beautiful, interesting, and colorful side... but i dont know if im headed in the right direction of though... can someone lead me another path of thinking??? or at least throw me a couple ideas?? that you SOOO much, i really do appriciate it!

According to Marilyn vos Savant (I believe her name is) of Parade paper, your image in the photos are largely determined by the lighting, the reversion, as well as many other camera factors. These factors also make your photographed image "less real". Does anyone know what these "other camer factors" are?
Professional photographers know these camera factors including the liighting and light their subjects to the best of their advantage. But, how come many school photographers don't seem to know how to do their job right according to many students' reactions to their photos?

this device had 2 lenses, and you put a double postcard to see a 3d image in the 1800.

I'll be traveling a lot soon...and I'd like to take pictures on my holidays and build a photo stock for a website and licence the pictures. I know that the pictures have to be of a very good quality, but I also need a camera that isn't too bulky and fairly easy to carry around with me.

Any ideas which camera would be best?

I am 18 years old and I have just graduated high school last june, and i thought i wanted to design websites, but i had a change of heart, and took this semester off of college to think about what i really wanted to do and have come to the conclusion that i want to be a professional photographer. I love capturing beautiful things and colors, and a lot of beautiful elements in one photo. I've been using a Sanyo 5 mega pixel camera. It gets some pretty good photos, but I think using a digital camera is sort of cheating. I want to learn to do it the old fashion way. I have an old canon ae-1 program camera, and want to learn about all the lenses, settings and amputures. Is there a good book out there for beginning photographers. I am also thinking of going to school like a university because i've always wanted to go to one. Is a university, going to be a good route for me? Thanks in advance.

I want to take pictures from an event and use them to generate a picture of the guest of honor. From normal viewing distance the generated picture would look like a normal picture but if you zoom in you see that the picture was made from hundreds of smaller pictures.

THANKS!

i bought some disposable fujifilm waterproof cameras online and when they came, I noticed that the exp. date on them is 5/2005. I wanted them for our trip to hawaii and probably don't want to take any chances on my pics not turning out. I can't return them, though, and wondered if I should even bother using them. Does anyone know anything about film that could let me know if they are worth using two years after the expiration? Should I use them, donate them, or toss them and count it as lesson learned?

If you look at a pic from around 1991 or 1987, you can see theres like a quality in the pic that makes it look old as compared to todays cameras which make everything look absolutely realistic and great.
What type of cameras did photographers use back during that time period?
