This is the process invented the the Lumiere brothers of France. I'd like to know if anyone has recreated the original glass plate form of Autochrome as an integral emulsion/color layer sandwiched between two sheets of glass to make, once developed, a full color photographic transparency. Also interested if the subsequent version, manufactured on film, has been recreated since both processes invented 1907.

I've got the main characters, a girl who ran away from her 'village' and is trying to starting a new life. But I'm stuck, I have no idea what should happen. I have created comics before, but I'm stuck on this plot. I would very much appreciate any help I can get.

I'm looking for a photographer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and all the portfolios I'm seeing have the same cheesy greeting card fodder in them. You know, the bride looking out a window, putting on her makeup, soft fuzzy filters, sepia tones, walking hand in hand through a grove of trees...BLACCHHH! I'm looking for something modern, very artisitic, real, minimal. Anyone have any recommendations? And if not, how about any photogs websites that have this style??

My class is doing an art project about what represents our world today. I have to do it with two other girls and we have some ideas but we could use some help. It has to be three differnet things(objects, subjects,etc...) , so that each of us can have our own section.

It has to do with what represents our world or country. It can be political.

Are there any specific settings I can use so that the picture will come out crystal-clear?

I've already tried an extreme close-up a couple of times but the picture came out blurry.

I know this is a dumb question but I don't know donkey squat about photography.

Heres my problem. Since I was a wee lad I loved art and I was always quite good at it. My teachers all said I was gifted and I received several recognitions and awards in highschool for my paintings, drawings, etc. but I never even heard of graphic design or knew how to use a computer. At the age of 23 I went to an Art School and received a BFA in graphic design (thinking this would be the practical degree). I struggled with completing this degree and found that most of my classmates were much better at graphic design than I am. I never quite got it. I always seemed to do work that was fine artsy or political. When I graduated I was left with a portfolio that I found to be disappointing. I was never very proud of my work and lost confidence in myself as an artist. Can you loose your talents? Can some one be bad at graphic design but great at fine art?

I have to come up with some colors for prom. Our theme is "i wanna be with you". I just wanted some opinions on what color comes to mind when you think about love, romance, ect,. please think outside of the box on this one. obviously pink and red are colors of love but we want deeper more meaningful colors. thanks to all!

How do you price your pictures, such as for weddings, portraits, etc...? Do you use film or digital? How do your clients get their photos back: proofs, etc? I'm tring to get my photography business a little more off the ground and trying to find out how others do it, what works, what doesn't, etc....

Thanks!

I understand you can use your palm as a light meter. If I take a reading from my palm (same light as the subject) and it gives me a reading of 1/250 f 5.6, then I would adjust my settings to 1/125 f 5.6. OR 1/125 f 8.0 Is this correct..based on your palm being 1 stop brighter?
