What are some Greek and Roman Contributions of Literature

Hi, you're on "sculpture" here not on "literature".
Greek contributors are a.o. Aeschylus, Plato, Socrates, Homer...
Latin ones are Plaute, Cicero, Ovide, Pline the Elder, Julius Caesar ... at least they are the ones I studied in school.

Homer's "Odyssey" and "Iliad" are major contributors to Greek literature, as well as Sophocles. A couple of people from the Greek Classical period are Herodotus and Thucydides. In Roman literature, Plautus is one of the much earlier playwrights. Shakespeare is probably one of the most famous that I can think of.
