Get in touch with your regional VEC office.
They should have a list of all their colleges offering this option. Marino college in killester has one.
But if you're able to get to Dublin, places like Dun Laoire Art College, and NCAD,and Bolton street (I think) run courses.
Look their numbers up in the phone book. Talk to the administration people and they'll be able to tell you if it suits you.

Some of them also run intensive week long preparation courses over Easter, so don't delay, and you might get a place!

Good Luck-sw

There are hundreds in the VEC esp if you're in and around dublin. I did a year long one and I lost interest once I knew i had got into art college. There many very irrelevent modules attached to those courses so make sure you are prepared to do that. However being a year older and wiser, and not coming directly from school was definately of benefit. You need a hard skin for art college. The majority of people in my course who dropped out came from a school so a year long course can help with that. Also you get to figure out if its what you want to do (u'd be surprised how many find it isnt) and it helps ease from the transition from art in school (not relevent to the art world whats-soever!) to art in college and beyond. Good luck, hope you do well. And remember you still need points for all colleges except NCAD so study!

There are loads of them. Try your local VEC for information.

You can only do it part-time if you qualify as a mature student (I think you have to be 24 or older).
