They tell stories via photography. Sometimes with short passages or captions, but usually the pictures tell the story. Good examples can be found on Time.com - they have photo-essay slide shows that are really good. National Geographic magazine also often includes photojournalism. There are many other examples, I'm sure, but these are two of the best.

Annoy the Dickens out of HRH's girlfriend? Proper answer -Photojournalists can be either still photographers or video photographers. Stills can tell a story to a point. Video is better, a great example being Euronews when they show their "No Comment" video footage i.e. video footage with no voiceover, the viewer makes their own mind up.

Photojournalists are photographers who are reporters with cameras and use photography to tell (or enhance) a news or public-affairs story.
They may or may not also be writers of said stories.

journalists report on events and stories through writing, photojournalists report and tell a story using photos. its what i hope to do after my degree. fingers crossed!

Photographers who can capture in a photograph the summary of the "story" They also photograph models for fashion features, Cars, buildings pretty much anything that the picture editor is looking for to go with a story or article.
"A story in pictures" springs to mind.
