do your behaviours tend to keep you open to possibilities or closed to opportunities. How do you SEE more and how do you limit yourself.....

What is this life about? WHY the hell do we care about anything? our looks? what people think? I can do whatever I want and no one on earth can stop me. Nothing truly explains anything. There are no absolute answers. The world is what you make it. If you want to believe in the power of God then you’ll find it; And If you want to believe in something else then you’ll find that too. Everything requires a bit of faith. It becomes real only once you believe it. My truth is not yours. And my lessons learned cannot be shared. If my own happiness is the purpose then satisfaction is something I’ll never know. Everyday I look to the sky to make sure I’m on the same earth and the Northern Cross always reminds me that I am. Everyday seems like the day before and that’s because I allow it. It seems to always slip my mind that my family is amazing but the thought never truly escapes. Forgiveness just might be the answer to all our problems. Lonely nights put everything into better perspective but too much and the view becomes shitty. When did love become such a bad experience? I never knew what bad energy was but I found out this year. What is the ultimate evil? If there is good in everybody then why is it so hard to find it in some people? Whoever said ignorance is bliss needs to help me understand. This world can be escaped but is where you’re going any better? Too much of a good thing is a good thing. Is being drink or drug-induced the only way to have fun these days? Or am I lucky that my friends are always on a natural high?

Say you are agnostic and that you are talking with your christan friend. You say to him"How do we know that jesus was the messaiah?" And he says"Well roman soldiers came to the doors of the followers of christ and exicuted christan followers for proclaming their faith, so why would somebody die for something that they aren't 100% sure is true?" How would you reply to this statement?

Do you think that certain people have a greater capacity to love? Or at certain times in our lives, can we love more than at other times? For example, if you both put the same "effort" into it, can you love your children more than your friend loves his or her children? And when we are young, do we love less or more than when we are older and have gone through so much more in life? I know it has to do a great deal with our choices and the actual decision to love, but can some people actually love more than others who are trying just as hard?

Ok I was having a conversation with my partner and I think i almost became religious..so here is what happened.

Strangely we were talking about moths and butterflies and what was the point in a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly, what purpose was served for the caterpillar by doing this?

Then I asked "come to think of it what is our (humans) purpose for exisiting". To procreate? Well its what we do as a race to survive, yes, but to exist? Whats the point in that? We exist just to make more of us? That answer does not cut it.

And then, more to the point, what came first, a baby or an adult (if you discount adam and eve). It cant have been a baby because how would it feed itself and survive?

Maybe an adult came first, in which case someone would of had to put us here! maybe it was god !! But then, who put him there ! Thats not feasible either.

Maybe we were a natural thing..but we still must have started as a baby. No ?

So how did we come to be and whats the point of our being?

I am sorry to sound so very morose in my question. But so many people have asked about the meaning of life here on 'answers', and elsewhere, as well. Yet, no one asks about the meaning of death. Is this because death is a taboo topic? Is it because we all possess some sort of instinct of preservation?

No one knows the meaning of life. It is one of the greatest mysteries known to man. However, I do not think that we should be discouraged from desperately searching for the truth. I think that there is some significance in just asking these things of ourselves. It provides a sense of awe to our existence.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic in asking about death. It is a drastic change that we undergo, and, depending on our choices during our past life, it will determine where we spend the rest of forever. Literally- the sleep of eternity. The prolonged slumber.

I realize that not everyone shares my sentiments. Some people believe other things.

What is the meaning of the grave?

I believe it was Aristotle who said that reason is the only thing that separates humans from animals; therefore we should achieve things that go beyond what animals can achieve, but still animals none the less. Yet I hear many people saying that we are not animals at all. While I do believe that we are different from most animals, as far as our basic natural instincts go we are animals. Obviously, there are some people who are going to agree with me and some who won't, but what is your view on this?

The reason Im asking is that ive never been so happy as I am before but then I get sad when I think it will all end one day so I must make the most of it. On Tueday I went to my mates funeral he was 1 year younger than me and I sat there at the crem not knowing if we should celebrate his life or morn his death and this has made me think?

And before you ask, no I havent got postnatal deppression, thought I do think when looking at a beautiful baby does put life into perspective.
