unity = 1
Nothing = What unity is not.
Science and philosophy cannot explore what unity is not.

SCIENCE AND PHILOSOPHY CAN EXPLORE WHAT UNITY IS.

What is your opinion on this conclusion?

While I respect Science...(GROAN) I was wondering if Philosophy would be good for us, since we are in the "Beginning stages of the Future(?) Maybe bettering ourselves, sharpening our minds on subjects that are current and, well, Ancient. And maybe even open new doors. They say there are things yet to be discovered, and I have asked the question, does the mind evolve? Or expand as the world around us changes? We seem primitive in our nature, eager for sometime fresh. But could it be possible that with all our looking, that all we had to do was look at our foundations from the past? I would like to start a "Conversation" on this. I mean, it is Philosophy. Yeah?

I mean everyone turning 18 and doing 2 in either the Marines, the Army, Navy, Air Force. We could throw in things like the Red Cross and Peace Corp just so the military aren't the only choices.

If the world is unjust and we are only here for a short time being, and our only concern is to survive, why do I have feelings for others that I do not know? Why do I feel pain for people and want to help when they are in the time of need?

Humans are just another form of animals and animals have no such thing a moral or ethics, which is man made. So is this the human condition, the feeling of compassion for others, or is this just a social condition that was society programming for the greater good of mankind? Real question so PLEASE preach your bible somewhere else.

in a positive way. One language, One Money, One People...one destiny, which is to make earth a better planer. Without kids dying each day of hunger, without poverty, without homeless people walking the streets, and everyone educated, or willing to be someone in life...even if they arn't the smartest person.

I suspect fear of death as a finality is dispositional. I've posted before, and I'm puzzled that some non-theists fear death while others do not in the least. I suspect the fear of death as a human inevitability depends on the person. Why do you think some non-theists fear death while others do not? Why do some irreligious people die peacefully, almost smugly, while others struggle with it in a state of utter terror? My suspicion is that it depends on the sensitivity of the limbic system, which increases ones sensitivity to a particular reality.

Happiness. a word not many people can use to describe their situation in life. ive lived my life everyday without complaining, and ive been happy, sad, lonely, and throughout all these feelings ive wondered, what is it that makes a human being happy? everyone will say different things i presume, but in this mixture of emotions and desires, is there anything permanent and fixed which to we can claim the happiness that awaits within our soul? is happiness something which remains inside our personality, or is it transitory?
