I don't think the question is the best way to ask it. I think the really question is "Is knowing everything knowing nothing"? Same? Lits just get god out of there shall we? LOL, Its was a friends question which I tryed to explain to them, but they don't understand, can any one explain it better?

"The truly characteristic thing about modern life was not its cruelty and insecurity, but simply its bareness, its dinginess, its listlessness." This is from Orwell's 1984. I wondered to myself if this could be said about modern life. I think it's probably somewhat very true about impoverished areas. Does anybody think this is a somewhat accurate description of today's society? I think society as a whole is losing energy and is gradually becoming stagnant. The individual, however, still holds his zest for life.
