Some people think because they are this or that, then they are on top of the world. NOT! those things are fleeting. Dont you think we are what is in us spiritually, and that part of us does not change for the worse?

Consider this quote:

…the Christian Right is distorting the government’s relationship to science. One example is that we now have a vaccine for the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus, which causes cervical cancer, of which 5000 women die every year in the US. The vaccine, which can be given to girls at age 11 or 12, is safe and effective. Yet evangelical Christians at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention – political appointees – have argued that we should not use this vaccine, because it will remove one of the natural deterrents to premarital sex. Reginald Finger, who’s on the immunization advisory committee of the CDC, has said that even if we had a vaccine against HIV, he would have to think long and hard about whether to use it, because it might encourage premarital sex.

If you worked at the CDC, would you promote the vaccines? Suppose we had cures for ALL STDs, as well as safe, reliable birth control. Would this change your views on premarital sex?

maybe asked before but I want to hear new opinions

If you could save thousands of thousands of people but you would just reach this goal by sacrificing the life of one, only one innocent child,
2 options: let the child live and go on with it's live,
OR sacrifice the innocent child and save thousands of thousands, maybe million people, what would you do? sacrifice it or let it live?

(maybe you could say that it would be for AIDS that they find a cure)

Here is your dilemma. Someone you love can have everlasting happiness but in order to do that you must suffer for eternity. Or they can suffer eternally whilst you live in eternal happiness. These are the only two choices. Which do you choose?

do you believe it true that when your dating someone you share their karma? my bff thinks that she's been doing bad since she hooked up with my drummer who has quite a horrid past as far as the ladies are concerned, she thinks that because he was so horrible before and broke alot of hearts that anyone with him now will suffer his bad karma.

Your Driving through a Hurricane, and you stop by a bus stop. There's 3 people on the bus stop.
An old Lady (very sick and dying)
Your Best friend ( person who saved your life)
The girl/man of your deams (the love of your life)

yet you only have room for one person to get in the car.

who would you pick for that open seat or help all of them out?

The Rules (yes, there's always a catch):
--You would instantly receive the skills needed for this occupation at the beginning
--At the end, the only thing you'd be left with are memories... so the skills would be taken away (can't keep being a brain surgeon) and any wealth you earned as well (Bill Gates will go back to his old job instead of being your butler).

Do not attempt to judge, unless you have the evidence to back up the sentence.
Everything is real, every thing you see is real.
That does not make it the truth.
Everything is rational in your own perspective, rationality is not truth.

You judge on your own imagination based on logic, on the appearance of the "situation". Even the "situation" is a judgmental state with in ones mind.
Its all how you look at the situation!
I am under edcucated so the answer is not SMART...
I am not attempting to brag.

for me it's dusk, with late night being a close second.

dusk(right after the sun has set): when things start to get quiet, most people are done work and are home eating etc., shadows get longer, the sky turns a deep, dark blue, the air vibrates with a calm atmosphere....dusk feels peaceful n sometimes even magical..........

thanks for your answers

This is a real question. If the doctor told you that your abortion would be painless and safest with a new method, but the new method would be very painful to the fetus. Would you use that method? Would you care if it hurt? The reason I ask is that if you cared that it hurt how could you not want it to have rights? I care if my pets hurt and I am glad that they have rights, I'm sure you feel the same about your new forming child. I truly just want to know what you think and i am not stating some holy war, that is why I posted this in Philosophy.

In other words, I'm just asking what about drug use conflicts with your principles, your philosophy of life, or your morals. If you want to say that you disagree with drug use because it's illegal, please for a moment imagine what your reasons would be if it were not illegal. Thanks
