u know how sum people just can't comprehend some stuff like others do,i think that means that the person is using les of his brain than the other, i think that if we are able to unlock 100% of outr brains then we will able to comprehend alot more, including the belief that the universe is infinite

I think it means that "a given task" will only use 10% of a person's brain.

I think it means we have the capacity to do so much more with our brains. One example is when someone loses a large portion of the brain in some kind of accident, then the other side of the brain gradually begins to take over the tasks. Quite mysterious and miraculous! Also, it means we should "stretch" our brains to do more, learn more, rationalize more. Some parts of our brain is probably dormant because we no longer need it. There was a time when the brain was used more to track and kill for food and self defense. We may have had the capacity to "read minds" and predict the future as a survival method. ? I'm thinking here.

apparently the other 90% is dormant in most of us apart from people with esp and other psychic abilities etc. I think they pick up frequencies that the rest of us dont pick up on ie. there brains use more than the average 10%.I think also that the human race hasnt developed or evolved enough yet to use any more than this otherwise there would be a lot more dangerous people out there, and on the other hand there would also be a lot more brilliant people out there. either way it will prob take another few million year of evolution .

It means that at any given point in time, the average person is only using about 10% of the total capacity of his/her brain. Some people use more, some less. But it does not mean that you only use the same 10% of your brain all the time.

That statement refers to the actual mass of our brain, not the functioning parts. A lot of our brain is only there for protection. And of the parts that are active, we only consciously use about 15% of that. The rest is for primal responses, and functions (heart rate, sneezing, blinking, breathing,) and things that we do without thinking about it. The 15% is for our thoughts, our short term memory, our reasoning and judgment, things like that, things that we need to think about. So no, we don't only use ten per cent of brain, but only consciously, we could live without that 15% I mentioned, it just wouldn't be any fun. But we would die if lost even an ounce of the other 90%.

The brain is an amazing thing and like most other amazing things that scientists try to analyze, they totally don't get it. We are made in God's image so we were given the brain capacity to become Gods. As humans we don't have what it takes to even begin to tap that potential.

You Humans use only ten percent of your brain power< true> .
Look at it this way: X=the amount of your brain that you use.
0=the unused portion of your brain.
You use this: 0000X00000. What a waste, eh?
