I've been a member of the Critique Circle and Fiction Press, which I lasted for a few months and about a year, respectfully. I always enjoy other people's input and have been wanting to try a new writing site, especially since Summer Vacation is just three days away. If you could post a site that you've heard of or belonged to a little bit about it, if one can post as many works, or if one has to review other's works in order to post. Thanks in advance.

I would like to find archives of classroom photographers for the Chgo. Publ.Schools in the 1960's?

During most of the 1960's most Chicago Public schools had one photography company that took classroom pictures. They issued the class photo to all the students inside a cardboard folder that said School Days and it was usually green and white. I can't imagine how to go about finding if there are archives where I can look and a class photo from a particular school in a particular year.

How intelligent do you think people are?

I have met Polish people that new everything about European politics and history, could hold a very logical conversation using facts and figures and yet feel like they have a sheep on their shoulder because coming from Eastern Europe they feel they always have to prove themselves; and on the other hand I have met completely non cultured americans, that were loud and so ignorant it was embarrasing and yet they thought they were on the top of the world because they are the richest nation in the world (although it is changing with China)... it reminds me of something in the Bible that was like ' and last will become first, and the first will become last...' discuss...

Does anyone ever feel like....?

Okay...when I talk to people on the phone or online I don't really feel like I'm at a certain place, but I think about like an empty street and I don't feel like I'm walking or anything, but I see everything that's on the street......When I talk to my sister's best friend who I barely hear from, I see this corner of a street in my hometown and I see all the trees and everything exactly like it is!...and It's usually like a little place, like when I got my pen pal from New Hampshire a few years ago, when I'd talk to her I'd think about my elementary school playground......and then last night (this morning) I was talking to a friend from 1:30-7:30 on the phone and I had my eyes closed and I started out at this track in my hometown....then I went down this highway and then into this little neighborhood and I have no clue why it was such a long place...but it was like at least three miles.....but anyway....does anyone ever feel this way, or does anyone know why I do?
