If you dont have metho or nail polish remover, use a whiteboard marker to scribble over the permenant marker and then wipe it clean with the whiteboard cleaner duster thingy. (not too sure what you call the whiteboard cleaner, as there is no dust so it can't be called a duster.)

scribble over the mark really hard with an erasable marker, then wipe it off.

Try using rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.
