I am trying to find a dvd or video of the 1941 Clydside blitz to give to my dad for Christmas. He saw quite recently in a newspaper an advertisment for just such a dvd, but can't remember which newspaper. The dvds contain historical newsreal footage of the events of the time. My father was bombed out during the blitz as a 14 year old and moved to London with his family who had previosly been coal merchant's in Glasgow. If anyone could advise me where I can find a copy of either a dvd or video that would be great.

I thought it was used to describe an Irish person with dark hair. On the other hand, I was just told yesterday that it was a term used to describe a person of Irish and Spanish ethnicity. So way back when, the Spanish came to Ireland and raped the Irish women (I don't know exactly how it went, so bear with me), and those children were called "Black Irish" because they were mixed. And now it's used to describe someone of Irish and Spanish ethnicity. Is this true?

The deadly and disastrous civil war in the US caused the unity of many states and the creation of a great country. It would be impossible to imagine today a war between California and Oregon.
Could we think that the wars going on in the world today are similar to the civil war in the US and will be the cause of world unity?

I have to do a report, and the topic has to be some aspect of American History. The topic needs to be somewhat specific (i.e. not the civil war, too general) and it also needs to have both pros and cons. Any suggestions?
