I need some help - when you study history you need to know many facts. However, all the books are written in a funny way - the information is in a terrible mess and it is difficult to organize it so that it makes some sense - how do YOU do it?

So, it is basically a list of people that have become symbols and now seeing their image makes one think automatically about something (an idea, an event, etc.).

or are we like, "even"? for some reason that I have no idea about. The japanese people I meet don't seem bitter but I think it would still be in the back of my mind, if I had been from that country. It seems like a horrible thing to do to kill all those civilians, even in a time of war.

how is it decided, whether things are "even"?

Jesus was crusified on the cross for our own sins. Buddha has suffered also. In the history, many people has suffered because some other smart people succeed because of suffering of others.
For example, one may love some girl but because of his mistakes some other will get such girl almost without any efford. Or, one may invest his money in bussiness and some other may steal such bussiness that was originally developed by the first person. Or some person may be blamed although his sin is not greater than the sins of others but others smartly appear as saints.
In all history of humankind, one thing remains: the pioneers suffer more because the others wait for the misfortune of the pioneers to gain their lot without or with less suffering. Why?

This is building on a previous question I asked, what are the ten most significant events in modern history? This was the best answer but there was no explanation. WHY and HOW are each of these significant, how did they shape the way the world is today, or send it in this direction?

1) The Fall of Rome.
2) Constantine and the rise of Christianity.
3) The Reformation.
4) Invention of the printing press.
5) The Renaissance.
6) The Industrial Revolution.
7) Both World Wars
8) The Great Depression
9) Invention of the PC
10) Creation of the Internet
