As mentioned by another, during the Texas Revolution, Texas was part of Mexico so there was no border between them. However, after the Texas Revolution, Texas and Mexico squabbled continously about where the border should be but since they never had a peace treaty agreed to by the Mexican government it was never a really serious discussion. The problem arose when the US accepted Texas as a state. The US claimed that the Rio Grande River was the border between Texas and Mexico while Mexico claimed it was (the Guadalupe River I think). This disagreement was brought to a head when both sides sent troops into the disputed region and they started shooting at each other. This became the Mexican-American War.

This looks like a trick question. Texas was a part of Mexico. So, as far as Mexico was concerned, there was no border.
