You have GOT to be kidding.

World War II

The extermination of the Jews by the German Nazi government was called The Holocaust.

There was no war between the Jews and the Nazis. To have a war, both sides must be organized societies in equal footing that can wage conflict against the other, and the outcome of this conflict is not known.

There was first streetfighting in the lat 20's, early 30's Germany, before the "Fuhrer" and his cronies began massive deportations and murder of Jews. After 1939, there was only one word for what happened: genocide.

Some Jews resisted like the guerrillas that fought in the Varsovia ghetto before the Nazis started sending the Jews in massive numbers to extermination camps.

But you can't use the word "war" for what happened. The Jews were never in the position to defend themselves from the Nazi state. There is a reason why this genocide is called Holocaust.

There was no war between the nazis and the jews. There was the attempted extermination of the jews by Hitler during World War II, which was called the holocaust. The nazi's were Hitlers soldiers, and they were the ones that carried out the extermination.

There was never a nazi's vs. jews war.

It was not so much a war between the Nazis and Jews, it was a purposeful attempt to extermination all Jews by the Nazis, and was called the Holocaust.

The Holocaust occurred during World War Two, and was not fought because of the Nazis' extermination of Jews - it began when Germany invaded Poland.

World War II
However it wasn't a war between the Nazis and the Jews but the mass murder of the Jews during WWII is called the holocaust.

Your joking? It was not a war of Nazis vs. Jews. The Jews were annihilated! When you talk of someone vs. another usually both are fighting back. It was World War II and it the Nazi's vs. the world! Another words the Jews, 6 million of them were imprisoned and killed by gas chambers. At no time did the Jews have any chance whatsoever! It was called the Holocaust for that matter, by the way.

WWII and Holocaust explained in other answers. The Warsaw Ghetto Rising is the only incident involving extended combat between organized Jewish fighters and German soldiers. And that took a good bit more than a battalion of troops for the Germans to finish. Try several battalions of top-notch, best-equipped troops the Germans had to wipe out Jews who had no heavy weapons, inadequate small arms, and little ammo. The Germans finally harvested the result of teaching the Jews they planned to kill them all. The Warsaw Ghetto Jews just figured they preferred going down fighting - even if all they had left were fists and rocks - to dying in gas chambers. Lucky for the Germans that Stalin was considerate enough to hold off his offensive to take Warsaw until the Germans had killed all the Jews. Stalin didn't want a bunch of fighting mad, uppity Jews around when he re-organized Poland as a Communist state.

You may possibly be referring to the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto uprising that occoured In April of 1943.

The Ghetto Inhabitants attacked a German convoy taking prisoners from the ghetto to be deported to concentration camps in a well planned raid.

In response the Germans sent an entire battalion to exterminate the resistance but the ghetto fighters were able to hold out for nearly a month (Longer than the entire country of Poland held out in fact)

However as for a general war between Jews and Nazis it wasn't really a war it was simply an act of mass murder called the Holocaust. nearly 6 million Jews were murdered to be exact along with millions of other ethnic groups like Gypsies, Invalids, political dissenters etc.

It became world war 2. It was genecide while it was going on. Otherwise I don't think it had a name any farther than hitler trying to take over the world and attempting to erraticate what was to him a danger to his perfect race, w/ the help of his cronnies the nazis
