ignore how each of them performed as generals, this is not about that, this is about who would win in the arena one on one.

Surely we find many account, sometimes from different sources, about a certain event, but that doesn't make it necessarily true. Some archeology makes sense to confirm things, but how is it that other things are confirmed? There are writings about dragons and many other things, but that doesn't make them true. So how does a historian --know-- that an account he reads is true of history?

It should have happened relatively during the same time, not necessarily exact. A good example would be Siddharta Gautama to Confucius. Buddha is revered as the great teacher or enlightened one (he began Buddhism), while Confucius is China's grand tutor (he began Confucianism).

In fact the whole republican party has been screwing up lately, but what i want to know is why liberals will never admit to something like that. I mean, come on now, President Clinton screwed alot of stuff up. For one thing he completly emmasculated our military, then he sold out our jobs with NAFTA, did not respond to the first world trade center bombing, and i don't even have to add in his private life. Yet, to the left he's a fricken saint. Why is that?

Why was Franco cool to Hitler? You would think they would be bosom buddies. Was Franco prescient enought to realize Hitler was headed for disaster, or was it because his first loyalty was to Spain and not fascism? Or was it because Franco wasn't into anti-semitism?
