He was both. He was insanely racist against Jews and non-Aryan (although he himself was not Aryan) but was a master politician and public speaker (hence his rise to power). He was also a very perverted man (water-sports and scato...pooh). He was and evil, insane genius.

He was a failed artist filled with hatred. The world would be a very different place if he would of won the war after he had got rid of the Jews, disabled people and Gypsies he would of started on all the non whites of the world he would of turn them into slaves or have killed and only have Aryans as supreme rulers.
Like Martin Luther King the Mad genuis HAD A DREAM

he was uncertainly slightly unstable this wasn't helped by his paranoia but he was NOT a genius. He was a working class man from an average background. What you need to look at is not how he got to where he was but who got him there. Men of his power in history often are not that intelligent or literate but have the means to appear so by having the right advisors etc behind the scenes. This combined with his strong stage presence and conviction meant he was a recipe for success.

Perhaps Hitler had a Narcissistic Personality Disorder, there is evidence to suggest this. His strong attachment to his mother, unhealthy obsession with his niece Geli Raubal and his desire for world domination.

If Hitler was a narcissist, this would explain his ability to brainwash and debase his followers by stripping them emotionally and re-programming them with his 'ideals'. His hatred of the Jews could possibly stem from surpressed feelings of inadequacy instilled by his impossible to please father ( who was supposedly half Jewish ) Hitler lashing out at the Jews served as a warped form of emotional homeopathy, hs way of dealing with the damage his father imposed on him.

All of this is purely my own speculation, but hope someone will find it interesting and or useful. Mouse B.

Hitler was a mad man, the word genius is incredibly misused.
That is a positive word and used so flagrantly on imbisiles like Hitler. Hitler instilled in others the ambition without morals. He was a tyrant and an impotent, degenerate who preyed upon those who could not defend themselves. Any man that goes in a bunker hiding out after all the bold and braisen acts he committed is a coward. I am sure you must realize how hateful he was to destroy people and that he is blasphemy in the eyes of God for he tried to compete with our Lord Jesus and spred his word of Atheism in a form that you can only believe in him or there is no God.

Clinically he was a clear psychopath defined by Robert Hare 'intraspecies predators who use charm, manipulation, intimidation, and violence to control others and to satisfy their own selfish needs. Lacking in conscience and in feelings for others, they cold-bloodedly take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without the slightest sense of guilt or regret.(1)
Genius. . well he was a frantic risk taker. . declaring war on Russia when already at war with the British Commonwealth was not clever, then to declare war on the USA was really stupid. He interfered with his military, failed to control his armament industry and towards the end ordered phantom divisions to attack the Allies.(2)

So mad, almost certainly, genius - not in any accepted sense of the word.

I don't think he was a genius, he was just a good speaker, he knew how to tell people what they wanted to hear, and the German people were down on their luck after the first world war and liked what he had to say. he was angry for a lot of reasons, he wanted to fight in the first world war, but was declared unfit, he wanted to go to art school, but was denied, his mother died when he was really young... etc...

He was a genius who wasn't clever enough to realise that he was mad. Only at the end did he realise what he had done and then madness took over again and his only escape was to kill himself.

He was very clever, but probably not a genius. Albert Einstein was a genius.
